As a mentee, you can put your learnings into perspective, develop confidence in your abilities and learn how to build a successful career. As a mentor, you can develop your leadership skills and share your experiences with others for mutual gain.

As a mentor, this program will give you the opportunity to:
- gain personal fulfilment through assisting to shape and develop the civilian career of fellow veterans and/or alumni
- develop yourself professionally – enhance leadership, communication and management expertise
- contribute to the education community through knowledge and skill sharing
- network with and learn from other mentors in the program.
For mentees
As a mentee, this program will give you the opportunity to:
- develop and improve your career skills in the context of the civilian workforce
- cultivate personal and professional networks
- gain first-hand knowledge into transitioning to the civilian workforce
- expand your knowledge of career options and provide a tangible link between study, employment and industry
- network with and learn from other mentees in the program who are also in the process of making the transition.
Career Transition Mentoring Program
The ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· Canberra Career Transition Mentoring Program aims to support current and former members of Defence, whether ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· alumni or not, making the transition from the military to the civilian workforce by connecting them with established alumni and industry professionals. Mentoring offered through this program is intended to provide mentees with access to mentors who have successfully transitioned into the civilian workforce and can share their personal, career and transition experience.

Career Discovery Mentoring Program
The ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· Career Discovery Mentoring Program provides you with the opportunity to discover potential careers through a mentoring relationship that facilitates greater self-awareness of skills, knowledge, experiences and attributes.
You will receive guidance from mentors and gain knowledge of industries and sectors, career options, industry trends, workplace culture and dynamics. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your experience, while building personal and professional networks with mentors and fellow mentees.
